Vybz Kartel Confirms He Now Lives in Florida, Not Jamaica

Kartel’s has confirmed that he now resides in South Florida.

Vybz Kartel said “No, I’m not going back!” when speaking of rough areas in his hometown in an interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club. The show’s host, Charlamagne, asked if Jamaica was a “safe space” for Kartel to which he replied “of course, not.”

He went on to detail the convenience of South Florida as a travel hub that allows him to go back and forth between the Caribbean and places like New York, London, and Los Angeles.

When asked specifically if there were issues with the government or people of Jamaica causing him to stay away, he didn’t cite any specific issues. Vybz Kartel has said he wants to “stay out of trouble” by staying out of Jamaica.
