Squash Performs In America For The First Time in 5 Years at “Big Breeze”

Squash has performed in America for the first time in 5 years at BZR Weekend’s “Big Breeze” Miami event.

Squash has not performed in the United States since 2019, shortly after he first arrived from St. James, Jamaica. As recently as May 2022, he was detained by immigration authorities in Miami. He would spend more than 3 months in lock up before being released without charges.

Keeping a low profile, Squash has continued to follow up previous hits like Ambala with newer hits such as Shubout, Bad Voodoo, and Sweepstakes Dweet. Notably, he was the primary feature on Vybz Kartel’s release mixtape “First Week Out.” Still, “Big Breeze” is arguably the dancehall song of the summer and rightfully deserved the large Caribbean audience South Florida offers.

The show took place at Miami’s Island Gardens Marina on Saturday, September 28, 2024, and featured leading acts like Spice, Masicka, Byron Messia, and Malie Donn. All are pictured below
