Vybz Kartel Will Interview with DJ Akademiks

Vybz Kartel will do yet another interview with an American outlet, solidifying his reach in the States and worldwide. Until now, Kartel’s current streak of interviews and press has focused mostly on Jamaican media outlets like TVJ and The Fix. He previously interviewed with Keyshia K’aoir, American influencer and wife of rapper Gucci Mane, on her podcast All Things Keyshia Ka’oir.

American streamer and podcaster DJ Akademiks posted a teaser to his Instagram page: a picture with Vybz Kartel “World Boss.” Akademiks has over 5.3M Instagram followers and 2.3M Youtube Subscribers.

Many influencers are in Jamaica for the Vybz Kartel Freedom Street concert set to take place on December 31, 2024 in Kingston, Jamaica. According to social media, over 18 private jets arrived in Montego Bay on a single day last week. Artists like Yung Miami, Nicki Minaj, Bobby Shmurda, and many others are supposedly in Jamaica for the event.

Although a release date hasn’t been mentioned yet, it appears the interview will drop any day now. It’s likely that Akademiks was able to sit down for an interview with Vybz Kartel while in Jamaica for Freedom Street.
